At the second day of MIX10 Conference Steven Sinofsky President of Windows Division has presented Internet Explorer 9 demonstration.
Microsoft is going to deliver Windows operating system update to millions of Europeans today with a browser choice software. This offer is the part of a deal Microsoft struck with the European Commission.
According to the legal agreement between Microsoft and European Commission, Microsoft has to offer the browser ballot to European users which allows them to select the web browser of their choice instead of using Internet Explorer as the default web browser with new Windows 7 OS.
Google has announced that it will phasing out the support for Internet Explorer 6 from 1 March 2010 whereas this decision is taken after the cyber attacks on Google search engine.

Google released a plug-in called Google Chrome Frame for Internet Explorer which will include the Google Chrome browser inside to Microsoft’s web browser. By installing Google’s plug-in with IE users will be enabled to to render web pages and execute javaScript programs at fast speed as Chrome.
Microsoft has released five critical patches to address different problems and vulnerabilities issues related to Windows operating system and its other applications. These patches will provide protection to users against attacks and security threats.
Microsoft said that it’ll support IE 6 until year 2014, four years beyond the original deadline. IE 6 was released in year 2001, and approximately 20% of web population is still using this version of Internet Explorer.
