The eight major version of Mac operating system Mac OS X Lion has been revealed at Back to Mac by Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs which will be available in summer 2011.
The Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is inspired by iPhone and iPad iOS and integrates many of their features for Mac platform as Steve Jobs said:
“Lion has a ton of new features and brings many of the best ideas from iPad.”
Few Features of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion:
- App Store for Mac will be available for Snow Leopard within 90 days and will be included in Lion
- Multi-touch gestures
- App home screens
- Mission Control with a unified view of every app and window running on your Mac
- System-wide support for full screen apps
- Autosave
- Apps resume when launched
