Apple Inc. officially denied that they did not know before about the iPhone 4 antenna problem. As it was reported by Bloomberg that Apple knew iPhone 4 antenna issue as it was identified during the iPhone 4 design phase and pointed out by Apple engineers to senior Apple execs but they did not take it serious at the time.
Apple responded to Bloomberg’s rumor and Apple’s spokesman said to WSJ:
“We challenge Bloomberg BusinessWeek to produce anything beyond rumors to back this up. It’s simply not true.”
Regardless of that the Bloomberg rumor against Apple is true or not this is the reality that Apple did not adapt the iPhone 4 problems anyway since it was reported right after the launch of iPhone 4 on 24 June 2010 by several iPhone 4 users and then different antenna tests were conducted by technology engineers and analysts but Apple did keep ear ear to the ground even some organizations filed lawsuits against Apple for iPhone 4 antenna issue.
On 15, July 2010 Apple has released iOS 4.0.1 update to for devices running over iOS 4.0 by just saying that update includes fix to iPhone signal bars dropping which seems that it will just give a makeover to bars as Apple said “The iOS 4.0.1 improves the formula to determine how many bars of signal strength to display.” Apparently this statement makes clear what the fix will do.
Now, on Friday 16, 2010 Apple hold a special iPhone 4 press conference so let see what they have up their sleeves.
So stay tuned to know further on iPhone 4 issues.
