As we all know that Apple doesn’t allow Flash for iPhone but at PDC 2009 event Microsoft has presented Silverlight video streaming on Apple iPhone. So, it seems that Apple is permitting Microsoft to bring its Silverlight technology to iPhone.

Apple and Microsoft is also working together and this revealed by Microsoft’s User Experience Platform Manager Brian Goldfarb at PDC 2009 in these words:

“We worked with Apple, We just made sure Apple was comfortable with it.”

Further comments by Microsoft on this issue are:

“The promise of Silverlight is that it’s a cross-device, cross-browser, cross-platform solution, and it works the same on Macs as it does on Windows.”

“The iPhone is a unique scenario. We talked to our customers…and they said, Look, we just need to get our content there, and it’s mainly in the media space like broadcasting, and we want to put it on the iPhone. So we’ve worked with Apple to create a server-side based solution with IIS Media Services.”

So, let’s wait when there would be any official conformation by Apple on this issue.
