
On second day of Professional Developers Conference PDC09 Microsoft has announced Silverlight 4 beta version which is also available for download now. Silverlight 4 is integrated with improved features as enhance overall user experience, improving speed, performance and rendering for browsers.
Microsoft also presented the demonstration of Silverlight 4 beta with its search engine Bing where it splits the images into puzzles and scatter the image around.
Microsoft also introduced SilverFace technology which is developed by using Facebook SDK and Silverlight.
Microsoft also brings an application for Facebook users called Fishbowl for Facebook. This Facebook app is based on SilverFace and allows users to perform all kind of regular activities to their Facebook account directly from the Windows system desktop as go to Facebook home page, checking or composing new messages, accessing profile, comments, upload photos, view friends photos and videos etc.

According to Windows blog:
“Fishbowl for Facebook works for Windows 7 and takes advantage of new Windows 7 features such Taskbar Previews and Jump Lists.”
Fishbowl for Facebook also works on Windows XP and Vista but it needs .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 to be installed on those operating system versions whereas it is already integrated with Windows 7.
