About two weeks ago GeoHot released blackra1n to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.2 and now blackra1n RC2 is out. This new RC version includes some fixes which the users have been faced in the later version of blackra1n during the jailbreak process of their iPhone or iPod Touch devices.

Following fixes are part of blackra1n RC2:

• Tethered jailbreak for 3.1 OOTB ipt 8GB and new 3GSes
• Fixed Icy issues

The blackra1n RC2 works to jailbreak the devices which are running on iPhone OS 3.1.2 including iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch, iPod Touch 2G and iPod Touch 3G. The blackra1n RC2 is available for Windows and Mac. In case if you’ve used RC1 with success then you don’t need to rerun, this is the recommendation by GeoHot.
