A few days ago Google includes Push Gmail for iPhone or iPod Touch users and now Google announced two new features ‘Move and Enhanced Refresh’ for its Gmail mobile web-based application. Google calls this the Iterative Webapp, a series where they’ll add new features to the Gmail app for mobile devices.
The description provided by Google for these new features is as follows:
“The Move option could be found under ‘More’ in the Floaty menu Bar. The ‘Move’ function lets you label and archive a message in a single step. So as soon as you ‘move’ a conversation to a certain label, that email will disappear from your Inbox and show up under that label.”
“The other feature is Enhanced Refresh, this feature auto-refreshes, Gmail inbox when you switch back to Gmail from another tab or application. And if your phone goes to sleep while Gmail is open, it will refresh when you wake it up.”
Both the included features are useful in Gmail iPhone app, so if you want to try this Gmail mobile app then visit gmail.com in your mobile browser. This version of Gmail for mobile works for iPhone/iPod touch OS 2.2.1 or above, and Android mobile phones.
