Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard is released and placed on Amazon store. Users can pre-order for new OS just in $29.00. Whereas prices for other Snow Leopard packages are as follows:
- Snow Leopard Family Pack (5-users): $49
- Box Set (Snow Leopard including iWork and iLife): $169
- Box Set Family Pack (5-users): $229
- OS X Server version 10.6 Snow Leopard: $499
Apple OS X Leopard users are eligible for the Snow Leopard upgrade whereas Tiger & earlier OS users will need to purchase new versions for upgrade. Snow Leopard will only run on Intel-based Mac systems.
The official release date of Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard is not yet announced by Apple but as they place the product for pre-order on Amazon, which indicates that OS will be available by the end of September.
