Windows 7 is the new operating system of Microsoft which will be available to the general public on 22nd October. Windows 7 E is a version of Windows 7 which will be rolled out specifically to the countries of the European Union. Because of several problems in Internet Explorer European commission has demand from Microsoft a version of new Windows OS without the default browser of the company.
Now there is a possibility for European Windows Vista users that they may face problems while they’ll try to get upgrade to Windows 7 E.
So, Microsoft has made a new proposal in an effort to address competition law issues related to Internet Explorer and interoperability. According to the Microsoft proposal, a ballot screen will be available after the installation of Windows 7, which will give options to the users to select the web browser of their own choice from available web browser alternatives which are Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari etc…
So, in this way Windows 7 operating system in Europe will be installed with the default web browser, Internet Explorer but user is free to select the browser of his choice at operating system installation time.
Right now there is no feedback available by the European Union in return of Microsoft new proposal of Windows 7 OS for Europe.
