In November 2008 LG has launched LG-KP500 “Cookie” mobile phones in 60 countries at a time. Today company is clamming that more than five million Cookie mobile phones has been sold worldwide, which breaks LG’s own sales records. According to this statistics 19,000 LG Cookies have been sold per day which equates to 791 units every hour or nine phones per minute.

LG says “Achieving five million units in sales in only nine months is proof that we’re on track with our goal to make Cookie a phone that’s loved by everyone,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. Our strategy to provide a full touch screen phone at an affordable price has succeeded beyond our original expectations. If the current trend continues, we expect to see Cookie hit sales of 10 million by the end of this year.”

LG’s Cookie is fully equipped with most of the key features found in premium full touch screen phones, including a 3.0 megapixel camera, 3D accelerometer and an Active Flash User Interface with vivid widget icons to provide easy access to commonly used functions. LG Cookie was launched in four different colors of black, vandyke brown, anodized silver and elegant gold but now because of more customer demand it’ll be available in 10 additional colors.

One Response to “Five Million LG Cookie Phones Sold in Nine Months”

  1. My lovely new LG Cookie no longer appears as appealing given that someone appears to have been able to hack into my telephone and entry the internet although I’m asleep. I purchased it from your O2 shop and have an O2 sim card. O2 are not whatsoever valuable but above £42 worth of credit may be sucked out of my pre-paid account. Any suggestions about where I can discover out ways to solve this dilemma?
