Yesterday, Google has announced Google Chrome OS for computers, which is an open source operating system and will be opened at the end of 2009 and Google Chrome OS enabled netbooks will hit the markets in year 2010. According to Google, the hardware partners for Google Chrome OS are Acer, Asus, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, and Toshiba.
Google also conformed that it was working with Adobe on the operating system. So, it would be a significant feature of Google Chrome OS.

i have tested chrome os both at home and at work, it does not seem to be better than ubuntu.::
