
CrunchPad, touch-screen tablet for web surfing will hit the markets soon. According to NYT resources, Michael Arrington, founder of the tech blog TechCrunch, has incorporated a company, CrunchPad and he told them that he’ll make a big announcement about the CrunchPad tablet by the end of July 2009. CrunchPad web surfing tablet is the product of Arrington and he is the original concept designer of the device. He is working on it from the last year.
Some revealed specifications of Crunch Pad tablet are:
- 16 millimeters thick
- At least 12 inches screen
- Intel Atom chip
- Flash Support
- Aluminum casing &
It would be available in variety of colors. CrunchPad web surfing tablet price will be less than $300.
CrunchPad runs on Linux operating system and with a Webkit based browser. Moreover Arrington said about CrunchPad tablet that this device is very simple, just ON it and browser will directly come up. This means device is just for the use of internet, checking emails, watching online videos, and for other activities which could be performed just online.
