Apple’s tablet computer is a hot topic now a day. Its launch gets a little conformation by the release note of Gene Munster and Piper Jaffray, which says that Apple’s tablet is not coming in 2009 but could be possibly arrive sometime in the first half of 2010. The released note regarding the new coming Apple device is written in these words:
“We expect Apple to fill the gap between the iPod touch and the MacBook with a new tablet device (not a netbook) priced at about $500-$700. Apple will likely leverage its multi-touch patents to differentiate its product from the typical netbook. We are anticipating a new category of Apple products with an operating system more robust than the iPhone’s but optimized for multi-touch, unlike Mac OS X. The device’s OS could bear a close resemblance to Apple’s mobile OS and run App Store apps, or it could be a modified version of Mac OS X.”

Some other rumors about the Apple’s tablet is that its size would be of 7 to 10 inch, different in offerings from existing Apples’ netbook and runs on hybird OS which is more robust and complex. According to Gene Munster:

“We expect the development of such an OS to be underway currently, but its complexity, along with our conversations with a key company in the mobile space, leads us to believe it will not launch until CY10.”

We all know that Apple is going to launch new iPhone in comming days, which already has captured a big market. Probably, its not necessarily important to launch tablet right now, and Apple isn’t in hurry to do that. Maybe it relates to the business strategy or the preparation phase to set minds of users towards Apple’s new device, Tablet!
