RightThumb is a freeware, which could re-size your images quickly and make thumbnails for them. It creates thumbnails in four different formats as BMP, JPG, GIF or PNG, you can select any format according to your requirement.
Just download, unzip folder of RightThumb and run Rightthumb.exe. It’ll show two options on top of its window. ‘Run in context menu’ check box enables RightThumb to integrates this option with system menu and when you right click on an image it’ll give option to ‘Create thumbnails’ and if you also check ‘Save to clipboard’ option then it saves your converted files on clipboard, so you can copy those files.
Moreover, you can set maximum width, height, file format, thumbnail identifier, image quality and some other options, which you want to set for thumbnails. Seven different filter options are available in it, the best one is Mitchell and poorest is Box. But the selection depends on you other settings, and its up to you, which one suits you. These filters are used in resizing of image.
You can also set folder to save your generated thumbnails, otherwise it’ll save them with the original files by adding _th thumbnail file identifier with their names.
Now, open your image folder and right click on the image for which you want to create thumbnail. Click on Create thumbnail(s) option, it’ll quickly generate thumbnail according to your settings.
