Send and Receive Hotmail, MSN or Live Email Via Gmail Account

Is that possible to set any other email account within Gmail account? Yes it is possible and definitely amazing as well. If you want to do that then follow these steps to add your Hotmail, Live or MSN account in your Gmail account so you can easily send and receive email at one place.

How to Add other email Addresses

1- Login to your Gmail account
Click on Settings link on right top corner & then select Accounts tab & click Add a mail account you own

2- It will open a new window, you have to enter your other Live email address and click on Next Step button

3- It will open a Window where you have to ‘Enter the mail settings for‘ your added address like user name, password and set other required settings as follows to build proper connection:

POP Server: pop3.live.com
Port: 995
and select the check box options and Click on Add Account button

4- Now, in next window mark the first button with ‘Yes, I want to be able to send mail as rizwan_ashraf@live.com’
And click on Next Step

5- Give a name to you Live email account and click Next Step

6- Click Send Verification button an email will send to your Live email account

7- Login to your Live email account and check the confirmation email. There will be a confirmation code copy that and come back to verification window. Paste the confirmation code in the field and click Verify Button the window will automatically close.

8- Go back to Gmail account and click on Compose Mail. You will notice that there is a ‘From‘ drop down menu containing our Live email address that we have added. Now you can send emails from your Windows Live email when you are in Gmail account.

Thats a great thing from google. Now we have no need to open two separate mail boxes. But greater thing is that you keep us updated about all these software related stuff.. Thanks for this effort Mr. Rizwan. I really appriciate that…

There was a problem connecting to mail.hotmail.com
Please contact Microsoft’s support team for more information on POP access.

I think you are adding a @hotmail email to gmail account.
on second screen when you are added hotmail account settings use the following POP Server and Port
POP Server: pop3.live.com
Port: 995

This will be work, if not reply me.

but there a problem that is: u can send mail from yahoo or hotmail by gmail account but unfortunate u can’t receive email from them>> i tryed!!!

i have done the same and able to send and recieve hotmail mail through gmail. but the mails which i send through hotmail using gmail account are not shown in sent folder of hotmail.

kindly help.
