The latest and final version of Ubuntu 8.10 codename Intrepid Ibex is finally out now and is available to download. This new release of Ubuntu comes up with number of improvements and fixes.

The new Ubuntu 8.1 comes up with GNOME 2.24 and Linux Kernel 2.6.27 that besides several Open-Source application, now it also features 3G support. It also provides better flash support.

The next version for Ubuntu is going to be Ubuntu 9.04 for which planning has already started and road map will be defined in the upcoming Ubuntu Developer Summit, at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, in December.

Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex is available for both desktop and server.
