Private browsing features a browser with the capability to restrict the information that the browser gather while you browse a website. No history regarding URL is kept, Cookies are not saved, no page caching is done and along with these, auto-fill feature is also disabled. In short if we talk from the web browser perspective, Private browsing is a session that never happened - No record.

So, Private browsing is often referred to as “Porn Mode”. But this private browsing is very handy when you want to keep your email and bank logins safe.

Mozilla Firefox, even being the, the most successful web browser of the time, lacks the private browsing feature. While all other big guns like: Safari, IE8 and a new one Google Chrome features Private Browsing.

Now, Mozilla is entering into private browsing as well because Mozilla Firefox’s developers are working hard to ensure this feature to be included in Firefox 3.1 that is due to be released at the end of this year.

Apple’s Safari was the first browser who pioneered this feature followed by Microsoft guys in their latest IE8 and then by a sexy from Google named “Chrome”.
