Canon has officially announced about the launch month, place and price for EOS Rebel XS 1000 D digital SLR’s camera. It’ll be available in the USA market in August 2008.
The new Rebel has following functionalities:

• 2.5 inch LCD screen
• Digic III image processor with 12 bit processing
• Higher ISO sensitivity
• 10 MP CMOS sensor
• Auto focus for 7 point wide area
• Live photo view mode
• EF-S lens kit with f/3.5-5.6, 18-55mm image stabilization

According to the Canon EOS Rebel XS 1000 D DSLR will offer better battery life and its cost will be $699.99.
