USB Image Tool is a small utility software that helps you in backing up almost every USB device. It creates an image file of data available at the USB device. Later on you can restore that image.
Here’s the screen shot of USB Image Tool’s main interface
On the main interface there are three buttons:
- Backup
Select any plugged USB device and hit backup button. It will create image of data available on the USB Device. Image file is saved on hard drive in compressed form and that image can also be burned. - Restore
This feature is used to restore the already created image of a USB device. You may also replicate the data on another device of the same kind.
- Rescan
Rescan button is used when the program is unable to detect the recently plugged USB storage. It’s in the case when you plug a new storage card in you already plugged card reader.
In the above image you can see my two USB devices that i have plugged in.
1st one is Data Travelers USB and Second one is my Cell phone: LG Shine. I tried to plug my iMate JasJam but the utility was unable to detect it.
Microsoft .net framework 2.0 and Windows XP or Windows Vista are some of the requirements of USB Image Tool.
