It was the first time in Apple Inc. history when it signed ‘non-exclusive deals’ with ‘Vodafone’ and ‘Telecom Italia’ to sell iPhone in Italy. Now again Apple Inc. has signed non-exclusive deals with a couple of networks, in Asia-Pacific region, to sell its iPhone in their respective countries.
Under this deal, SingTel will sell iPhone in Singapore, Bharti Airtel in India, Globe Telecom and Optus in Philippines and Australia respectively. SingTel is a major investor in both Globe Telecom and Bharti Airtel while Optus is SingTel’s subsidiary.
