Women have their own issues to deal with. And there were not enough sources like magazines, forums, channels dedicated to women only. But now there is one.

Yahoo Shine, a new site by Yahoo, targeting just women.

Yahoo has launched its women’s site called ‘Shine‘. This media site focuses the women’s daily lives.
Now if you want latest fashion and beauty tips, or need to know more about parenting, this new site “Yahoo Shine” offers Categories ranging from Fashion and Beauty to Parenting.

Contents of the site are a mix up of original contents (an editorial team is formed that will work on different categories of Shine on daily basis) and contents of popular lifestyle publishers that include Conde Nast, Hearst Corp, Rodale, Time Inc and others.
The site aims at grabbing attention of approx. 40 millions women a month between ages 25 and 54 (a niche market) and making site more relevant to this demographic which will attract brand advertisers.
“It is the first launch we’ve had targeted to this key demographic,” said Amy Iorio, vice president and general manager. “Our research showed that women wanted a community that was relative to their lives and also wanted credible sources.”
“We have women all over Yahoo and niche sites that are meeting some of their needs,” Iorio said. “It seemed to make sense to broaden out and pull that content in.”
With the launch of “Shine”, it seems that Yahoo intends to be the leader in Lifestyle Category; surely he will be. In short, Yahoo wants women to Shine!
