YouTube’s second annual Video Awards announced on Friday. The awards identify the top videos of year 2007 in 12 categories. YouTube spokesman Aaron Ferstman said that Nominees and winners were selected by different combination of ways including the number of people who viewed the videos and selected those videos as their favorites, as well as general buzz. There were 6 nominees for each of the 12 categories.

Nominated Categories were music, comedy, sports, short film, instructional, inspirational, commentary, creative, politics, series, eyewitness and adorable.

Tay Zonday, 25 years old won award for his music video “Chocolate Rain” which had been viewed 15,768,410 times.
Harry Potter movie, a homemade takeoff using puppets made at home took the top comedy award. “The Potter Puppet Pals in The Mysterious” ticking noise featured a naked, but not anatomically correct Professor Dumbledore.
Political award went to “Stop the Clash of Civilizations” about prejudices in the Islamic and Western worlds by Avaaz.org.
The short film winner “My Name is Lisa” by Shelton Films.
