Panasonic has announced digital still camera, the FX500 with joystick control and touch-screen display. The company’s digital camera marketing manager says it, A New Flagship Model. It has following features:

  • User can keep a focus lock on objects in the shot by just selecting the object with a finger on the 3-inch screen.
  • This auto focus tracking feature is very useful specially when selected object is moving like pets or kids, so even if a photo subject is moving you can track it easily.
  • It can do face detection, intelligent scene selector and intelligent exposure.
    With 50 MB built in memory.
  • SD, SDHC memory cards can be used.
  • 5x optical zoom, it has 25mm wide-angle lens.
  • 1280 x 720p video mode, 16:9 still image modes for viewing pictures on widescreen TV.
  • It’ll be available in market in May 2008 in two colors silver or black, with price $399.
